Response to the requests you have given us(From Survey of Student Life)

To Students

Thank you for taking the time to complete “Survey of Student Life” - over 3,000 students across E-Track and J-Track responded, giving us a lot of input. We have taken a look at each and every request you made to us in the survey. Your opinions will be used in the future management of TIU.

Below are answers to some of the most frequently requested issues from E-Track students.
*The content has been determined by considering not only the survey results but also the requests received at the university-wide representative meeting.

Education

●Quality of education
In order In order to improve the quality of education, each faculty member strives to improve his/her classes through the Class Evaluation Survey that we conduct each semester. Please participate in the survey and give us your specific feedback on the course.
In addition, we will strive to incorporate opportunities for discussion, group work, presentations, etc. into our classes so that students can gain more knowledge.

International Exchange & Student Life

●Support for the exchange and integration of students from diverse countries
We offer SLI (Student Leadership Internship) activities as a program to promote international exchange among students. Through SLI activities such as the planning of international exchange events, we will encourage the integration of students from diverse countries. We will also strengthen support for extracurricular activities that can be conducted on the Ikebukuro Campus.

Career Support

●Support for job hunting
In response to the students‘ feedback requesting stronger internship support and job placement support, we will focus on building relationships with companies. This will enable us to find and guide students to internship destination companies that welcome internship placements that better suit students' needs. With regard to job placement support, we will make our support towards students more visible and provide information on employment in Japan in an easy-to-understand manner for students of early semesters and seniors.

Campus Facilities

●Wi-Fi on campus
We constantly monitor communication conditions throughout the campus and continuously make adjustments to improve Wi-Fi connectivity in classrooms. On the other hand, with the introduction of BYOD three years ago, the number of devices connecting to the campus Wi-Fi has increased, so we plan to control Wi-Fi usage more strictly than before. Specifically, we will prioritize communication from classrooms to improve connectivity during study time.

Others

●Services of the university staff
We have received requests for improvement in our attitude toward students and inadequate communication with students. We will reflect on the feedback we received and improve our attitude and sufficient communication to students.

Survey of Student Life will continue to be conducted annually. In that survey, please feel free to share with us your requests for the university and your ideas for how we can make TIU a better university. We would appreciate your cooperation in improving TIU.
