To Students

 

Thank you for taking the time to complete “Survey of Student Life” - over 3,000 students across E-Track and J-Track responded, giving us a lot of input. We have taken a look at each and every request you made to us in the survey. Your opinions will be used in the future management of TIU.

Below are answers to some of the most frequently requested issues from E-Track students.


Education

●Quality of education
In order to improve the quality of education, each faculty member strives to improve his/her classes through the Class Evaluation Survey that we conduct each semester. Please participate in the survey and give us your specific feedback on the course.
●Curriculum
We have received requests regarding the curriculum (e.g. Review of the course structure, Placement of advanced courses, etc.). Since the opinions of those of you who are actually learning are valuable, we will use the feedback we received as a reference when considering the curriculum in the future.

International Exchange

●Support for the exchange and integration of students from diverse countries
We offers SLI (Student Leadership Internship) activities as a program to promote international exchange among students. Through SLI activities such as the planning of international exchange events, we will encourage the integration of students from diverse countries.

Student Life

●Support for life in Japan
To support international students, SLIs assist with procedures at places in their daily lives (e.g. Bank, City Hall, etc.), and offer workshops on knowledge for living in Japan. We also provide a medical support app for the health of students. We will continue to provide regular information on SLI activities and medical support on POTI.

Career Support

●Support for job hunting
We encourage students to take advantage of our individual support for job hunting. Individual consultations are available for students of all grade levels. We will continue to offer events and support that incorporate the needs of our students, so please check out closely the announcements from the Career Center.

Campus Facilities

●Wi-Fi on campus
We will continually monitor the Internet on campus and make improvements where network enhancements are needed to ensure that classes are not disrupted.

Others

●Services of the university staff
We have received requests for improvement in our attitude toward students and inadequate communication with students. We will reflect on the feedback we received and improve our attitude and sufficient communication to students.
 

Survey of Student Life will continue to be conducted annually. In that survey, please feel free to share with us your requests for the university and your ideas for how we can make TIU a better university. We would appreciate your cooperation in improving TIU.
